Linda joined the Cape Girardeau West Rotary Club in December of 2002, and she has maintained perfect attendance during her entire membership. In addition to having served in all officer positions and many leadership roles in her club, Linda has served at a District level for several years. She has been an Assistant Governor, the District Treasurer 2011-2014, a member of the Show Me Rotary Presidents Training Planning Council, District Scholarship Chair 2009-2010, and a District Visioning Team Facilitator.

(Virtual) Old Newsboys Day is THIS THURSDAY, November 19
|
|
|
On Thursday, November 19, Club 11 will be participating in Old Newsboys Day. This is part of an annual campaign that takes place throughout the St. Louis metropolitan area. All funds raised by this event go towards supporting local children's charities.
|
This year’s event will be virtual—so no early rise-and-shine, no rain or cold weather and no dodging traffic. We are simply looking for volunteer “newsboys” to share a donation link through social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.). To make things very easy, organizers have even provided the following text:

Last Thursday out club had Dr. Jeffrey Carter from the Webster University speaking about the music department at Webster and the challenges not only he and the department are facing but also the challenges of the University and schools in general. Due to the Covid situation he was not able to have the students perform but hopefully we can get them live at the MAC next year.
