Captain Terry Werner ~ 106th Season, Week 9 Alleygations | November 4, 2024
ALLEYGATIONS 11-4-24
The second quarter started just the way the first quarter ended. The Jones team finished the night in first place again by taking 18 points from the Decker team. I know that I am tired of this, but I was always told that if you don’t like it then play better. So there you go! Bakers team won 16 points, Driver won 14 points and the Lane team won 12 points to stay close to Doc and these runaway women! The other teams not so much.
Individual high scratch games for the men were Terry Werner with a 216, David Cowell a 203 and Gary Jones a 201. Great bowling boys.
Individual high scratch games for the ladies were Rose Cooper with a 164, Lauren Kehlenbrink with a 141 and Rachel Griegenow with a 140. Great bowling girls!
Things heard and seen around the alley:
- Bob Garagiola bowled a 190 scratch for a 266 handicap Instead of cheers and applause, he was accused of cheating! My thought is that if he was going to cheat then he would have found 10 more pins to roll a 200! C’mon! Great game Bob!
- Speaking of cheating, the 50/50 drawing was won by Mike “the lawyer” Regan in the amount of $63. Way to go Mike!
- I asked David Cowell if there were any alleygation worthy items to report after the first game. After many moments he said NO but then realized his team had 12 open frames in a row! Now that is noteworthy and remarkably bad. For the record, David threw a strike to break the streak.
- Not to be outdone, Beth Russell defended the streak by stating that “when we’re off, we’re off together!” Well said Beth well said.
- Noone saw this but a certain individual walked out of the alley with one regular tennis shoe on and one bowling shoe on. The only reasonable explanation is that they are both grey in color and very comfortable. Who the heck did this?
Keep bowling and having fun folks!
Strikes and more strikes,
Terry
