Bowling Alleygations Don Lorenz Week 23
Alleygations 02/21/22
What a difference a week makes at the lanes of Olivette. Rotarians walked in with high hopes and visions of perfect games. Well needless to say that didn’t happen. Last week strikes were plentiful and rolloff week had some great high scores. This week strikes for many were few and between. Only one 200+ game was rolled, Lenny Lehmkuhl 224 and a 593 series. Way to go Lenny!
A number of excellent handicap games were rolled including my great teammate Bob (Newsy) Barnes. Rolling a fantastic 258 and accumulating a total of 732. Wow he was our anchor for the evening helping our team move into tie for 3rd place in the first week of the fourth quarter. Vic DiFate – 688, Bill Piper -664, Ken Schuman – 654, Matt Weiss – 628, Rose Cooper – 621 and Lily Michaels – 648 Great over average nights for all these wonderful bowlers.
Other than the normal chatter and Ralph Decker announcing the 50/50 winner Chris Wilson pocketing $53. I did notice a few incidents thru the night. Ralph was found everywhere on the alleys except at his alley for his turn to bowl, “Ralph it’s your turn” could be heard ringing out from lanes 17&18 all night long. I witnessed Rose take a tumble backwards, trying to walkout a strike like Matt Weiss. Just can’t be done like the Buddah can. All in all a great night to be out with Rotarian Friends!
Respectfully submitted,
