March 2021
A lot of good things happen in March every year.
Spring Starts, Animals awake from hibernation, the NCAA Basketball has their big tournament every year affectionately called March Madness, the Major League Baseball season starts, March is National Red Cross Month, the Easter season.
But in 2020, March was the month that changed our lives as most of us realized that COVID 19 was here and we better take notice. As we come out of this, but continue to take safe, let’s try to remember that March is the beginning of Spring and the outdoors and friendships should not be taken for granted. STAY HEALTHY AND RESPECT OTHERS

The Four-Way Test of the things we think, say or do
⦁ Is it the truth?
⦁ Is it fair to all concerned?
⦁ Will it build goodwill and better friendships?
⦁ Will it be beneficial to all concerned?
DEFINITELY WORDS TO LIVE OUR LIVES BY

PROGRAMS
On February 25th our program was from Greater St. Louis, Inc. Missy Kelley and Sarah Arnosky were wonderful in giving us an update on a 10-year plan for Downtown St. Louis. Even though they were sharing the information via zoom it was great information and they presented thoroughly. It felt like they were in the room with us. Hopefully we will continue to have they annually to keep us informed on what is around us. I know last week I said you shouldn’t miss this program and I was right. Great job Missy and Sarah.
March 4th is Engineer’s Day at Rotary. Although we will not have as many guest as in previous years, the speaker should be just as good. Dr. Joel Burken, Curators Distinguished Professor at the Missouri University S&T. Make sure to attend as it should be another good program.

As we come out of the COVID 19 this year, let’s try to work adding to our membership. If everyone just asks one close friend or business associate, we will be able to grow in 2021.

Each week I will highlight something about Rotary that all Rotarians should know or be aware of.
Object of Rotary
The Object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and foster:
FIRST. The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service;
SECOND. High ethical standards in business and professions, the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations, and the dignifying of each Rotarian’s occupation as an opportunity to serve society;
THIRD. The application of the ideal of service in each Rotarian’s personal, business, and community life;
FOURTH. The advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service

If you missed last week’s meeting or any meeting you can watch the recording of the zoom presentation by clicking on the link in the Pepperbox.
Pass on information about our club and about Rotary to your friends, send the Pepperbox to them, Like and Share on Social Media. We really do have a great club, let’s not be afraid to tell the WORLD.
We are continuing to work to make the zoom presentations better every week. Please let Joan know if you have and suggestions and she will pass them on to the MAC who is handling the production of the video.
ZOOM BROADCAST WILL CONTINUE FOR AT LEAST UNTIL THE END OF April 2021 FOR THOSE THAT CANNOT MAKE THE MEETINGS IN PERSON.
