FEATURED SPEAKER Introduced by Beth Russell
Matt Homann, CEO of The Filament and Todd Bauman, Lead Artist.
Filament makes meetings matter by helping smart people think together better and solve problems in
person. Meetings are the lifeblood of the modern organization and they’ve been terrible for too long.
They focus on engagement and collaboration. Part of their unique approach is to substitute pictures for
powerpoints. Artists play an important role to “show” what happened instead of reading about it.
Feedback is important but Filament helps to sharpen how it is given and
received. To make meetings better: Define. Design. Delegate.
Deliver. Document. Don’t be afraid to make an
“unreasonable” request.
Richard Losciale had the selected ticket giving him the chance to win the 50/50 of $366 but pulled the 9
of spades……..and so it grows!
The meeting was adjourned at 1pm with President Bob encouraging Club 11 Rotarians to “try to connect
someone to Rotary”!
