St. Louis Rotary 107th Bowling Alleygations ~ Week 21 | February 9, 2026 at Olivette Lanes | Captain Terry Werner

ALLEYGATIONS 2-9-26
Week 6 of the 3rd quarter is in the books! The Lane team took down the Werner team
by a score of 14-8. Lane had outstanding performances by Jeanine Conway (623) and
Don “Owner” Klackner (668). Mike Regan led the Werner team with a score of 651.
The pesky Cooper team beat the Weiss team 16-6. Kevin King (629), Lily
Michaels (648) and Doc Jones (627) carried the Cooper team to a strong win. The
Weiss team also had strong scores by Matt Weiss (620), Wade Weistreich (626) and
Dave Carr (628).
The Baker team outlasted the Cowell team in a close match 12-10. The first game was
won by two points and the third game by one point. Baker was led by Maddie Zuke
(642), Chad Baker (637) and Lauren Rosenkranz (639). Cowell had strong games from
Ken Schuman (664) and the red hot Ralph “President” Decker (676). Look at those
averages go up!
On the far lanes we watched Maddox clobber Soifer 22-0. Quinn Rogers led the winners
with a personal high game of 170 and a 692 series. Chance Thompson (602) and Joey
“Doc” Papa (628) assisted in the wipe out. For the Soiffer team, well, there wasn’t much,
nada, nothing, zilch resulting in a score of zero. Ouch!
So the standings show the Maddox team in first with a commanding 19 point lead over
the Cowell team heading into the final week of this quarter.
Things heard and seen around the alley:
★ Some crazy splits were picked up – Jeanine 5-6-10, Mike Regan 1-3-8-10, Terry
1-5-7-9.
★ Matt Weiss started game 2 with 4 strikes and ended up with a 179.
★ Ken Schuman won the 50/50 worth $101. I’m sure he bought a round for his
team.
★ Doc Jones was earning side money by giving lessons to Bob Zangas and Kevin
King. He also ran into Rose and Terry while walking (staggering?) back to his
chair. Always good to have him in the house.
★ Chris Wilson wouldn’t bowl next to Jeanine because he said she would get a
strike every time he did. Superstitious?
★ Did you know that the toothbrush was invented in West Virginia? Anywhere else
and it would have been called a teethbrush. Carl Lane
★ Doug Lorenz bowled a 101 and promptly informed us that he broke 100. Well
said Doug well said.
★ Rose, Amy and Lily spent way too much time watching a video of a two year old
stuck in a vending machine.
Strikes and more strikes,
Terry
