St. Louis Rotary 107th Bowling Alleygations ~ Week 14 | December 15, 2025 at Olivette Lanes

Week 14 Alleygations 12/15/25 | Terry Werner, Captain
Welcome to the next to last Alleygations for the second quarter. Even though there is another week left, it sure looks like the Weiss team will win this quarter with a commanding 22 point lead going into next Mondays final night. How did they get a 22 point lead you might ask? Well, this reporter was a witness to a 16-6 drubbing by the Weiss team which was put on the Werner team. Ouch! Outstanding bowling by Windish (673), Weistreich (637) and Coleman (601) was just too much to overcome. Windish was especially out of his mind as he slammed the “windo” on Werner to show what an anchor really should do!
The Lane team beat the Cooper team 15-7 with Steinie bowling a 721 series to lead his team. The unstoppable Doc Jones bowled 22 pins above his average in a losing cause.
Maddox won 14 points from the Cowell team with all three game totals at 853 or higher for both teams. Now that’s some good bowling folks! Doug Lorenz had a 710 handicap series to lead his team while Vic DiFate bowled a 690. Good job to both teams for three great games.
Baker bowled over the Soifer team 16-6. Soifer has the task of trying to take 22 points from Weiss next week so they can at least tie for first place. Yikes! Good luck Jon and team. Be sure to wear your lucky sweater. All four bowlers for the Baker team were over their average led by Robert Driver (641) and Don Lorenz (638). Derrick Wendling led the Soifer team with a 652 handicap series.
Things seen or heard around the lanes…….
– Chad won the 50/50 drawing of $1.1M again.
– Bill Piper didn’t exactly fall but he certainly crossed the foul line by several feet. Glad you weren’t injured Bill.
– Mike Coleman picked up a 1,2,7,9 split which just means he had a real poor first ball. Good recovery tho.
– Joan Hecker is done for the year but finished strong with a 679 handicap series.
– The Weiss team will have won both quarters so I figured if I mentioned it perhaps they will be jinxed for the remaining two quarters.
– High scratch games for the men: Cowell (234), Windish (213), Weistreich (204), Steinbrueck (203), Werner (201)
– High scratch games for the ladies: Michaels (163), Hecker (153), Cooper (119)
Strikes and more strikes,
Terr
