St. Louis Rotary 107th Bowling Alleygations ~ Week 15 | December 22, 2025 at Olivette Lanes

Week 15 alleygations12-22-25

Alleygations Monday December 22nd
Captain Matt  Weiss

Twenty five Rotarian League bowlers showed up for the make up of a previously
postponed snow date and Position Night roll off for second quarter honors. The Baker
and Soifer teams reported full teams.
With the Weiss Guys having a 22 point lead over the Soifer’s one might expect a less
than spirited effort from both sides. On the alleys whispers could be heard hoping the Weiss
Guys would win this near impossible lead to lose. Ralph Zuke was heard to say that is how he
was able to sneak into the Championship by teams winning multiple quarters.
Well the Soifer’s were not fazed by this rhetoric and put on a determined effort against
a courageous Weiss Guy team. The Weiss guys were first in Team scratch game 621 and team
scratch series 1776 but LAST in team hdcp game 811 AND IN team hdcp series 2346. There is
no mystery as to how the Soifer’s humbled the Weiss Guys 20-2. BUT, the Weiss guys did prevail
with 2nd quarter honors and now have 1st and 2nd quarters in the bag.
Elsewhere, Bowlers were as hot as Christmas Day in December.
Don Lorenz led the night with a 223, 617 series AND HIGH HDCP SERIES of 737. 137 pins over
average. The T Werner tied Don with a 223 and youngster Doc Jones matched the Klack’s 201.
Schu won the 50/50 “Mary” Christmas Fund of $70.
We are off until January 5th, the start of the 3rd quarter with an influx of nine 2nd half
bowlers joining the fray. Should be a very exciting 2nd half. Be forewarned, the Weiss guys are
hungry for more.
On behalf of the League Officers we wish all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy, Healthy,
and Safe New Year!
Good Bowling,
Matt Weiss
