John joined the Rotary Club of Washington in 2006 and served as club president 2014-15. Active in club committees and Service Projects and has chaired the annual Radio Auction and Pancake Breakfast, is past Club Foundation chair, and a multiple Paul Harris Fellow.
At the District level John served on the Show Me Rotary Leadership Institute Council and Assistant Governor.
Prior to retirement in 2015, John’s Professional career spanned 45 years including; Southwestern Bell/SBC, Telcordia Technologies and Business Manager at St Francis Borgia Parish in Washington, MO. John received a BS in Business Administration from Maryville University, St. Louis.
John’s community leadership includes past chairman and emeritus board member of Downtown Washington, INC., charter board member of the Arts Council of Washington, Board of Public Works, and others.
John and his wife Debbie are married since 1979. They have three children: Jeff, Alex, and Christine, and two grandchildren, Alexandria and Aidan – The Pride of the Grandparents.
Debbie and John are active members of St Francis Borgia Parish, involved in ministries and social events.
His spare time includes time out for fishing, woodworking, and traveling.
John enjoys meeting new people and working on projects that impact the lives of others. John is enthusiastic about getting Rotary members to support The Foundation and has been a part of successful events in his home club.
His vision is to have all Rotarians in District 6060 join in supporting “Our Foundation” to change lives.
After serving as District Governor John served the District as Education Chair and Membership Chair. Currently serving as Zone 31 Assistant Regional Rotary Foundation Coordinator.
