Alleygations Week 8 Team Rose’ 10-27-25

Hey! What do you call a pig that does karate?  A pork chop!

St. Louis Rotary league bowlers who showed up in Halloween attire on Monday 10/27/25  include Carl LaneJanine ConwayLily MichaelsDavid Cowellme in my lighted pumpkin necklace borrowed from Lily-Belle and more.

No Halloween Costume winner was declared as President Ralph Decker didn’t make it. We missed seeing his costume and the candy!!!! He’s on the D.L. for 4 to 6 weeks.  Do you have any remedies for brittle bones to share with him?

Hey Ralph Decker: Why was the rib an excellent negotiator?  It always knew how to “crack” a good deal!

Our favorite “Doc”,  Gary Jones appeared at the alley very close to 6 PM  and immediately announced that he had to leave early.  He needed to get home with a dinner for his sweetheart Carol Jones.

Team Rose’ offered him a number of options to remedy his dinner dilemma:

  1. Pick up food before bowling
  2. Go to a restaurant that doesn’t close at 9 PM, so you can pick up on your way home.
  3. Door Dash
  4. Order take-out from Olivette Lanes!!!!!

Thank you, Gary Doc, for staying for all three games!  What did you take home to Carol?

It was a spooky 1st quarter roll off night. there were “spirits” across all our lanes .(Thanks Ashley!)

Teams Weiss, Lane, Baker and Maddox were in the 1 -4 spots.  Carl Lane was heard trash talking Matt Weiss (who was not there to defend himself).  It was something like he knew Matt was afraid of bowling him!  LOL

Team Weiss won the 1st and 2nd games, stomping and dominating Team Lane. David Stuart kept rolling them down the middle with his boot.  Rumor has it that David  will never take the boot off on Monday night!

Halloween Sixes kept popping up: Don Fuller bowled a 666; Robert Driver had a 687 series; Joey Papa had a 694 series; and David, the Boot rolled a 699 series!

Joey Papa had 6 strikes in a row; Carl Lane had 6 strikes in a row.

Other news:

Joan Hecker bowled her first Turkey and Don Lorenz had 7 strikes in a row (spread over 2 games) while Janine Conway had 4 splits in 7 frames!

Lane 24 timed out waiting for Vic to bowl – I don’t think the orange pumpkin flashing necklace can be blamed!

Rose’  bowled on the wrong lane but it was the lane that felt right to her!  She was on the correct pair of lanes!

Who was the guy in the red coat? It was Kent Steinbrueck —good to see you at bowling; I keep hearing where is Kent?  where is Kent?!

Drew Baebler won the 50/50  ($95) Will someone please tell Dee?

Drew  picked up a 1,3,8,10 and Club 11 President Dan Conway picked up  a 6-10-7 split.

Congratulations to Mike Coleman on his 708 series!

Congratulations to Team Weiss on winning the first quarter!  We need a team picture to mark this historic season 107 first quarter win!

David Cowell bowled 223 in his first game.  The Cowell team went on to win all 22 points and took  4th place leaving Team Rose’ in their constipated state of 8th place!

Thanks to all 8 teams for sharing their lane news!

Get ready for more fun and nonsense next Monday!
