St. Louis Rotary 107th Bowling Alleygations ~ Week 7 | October 20, 2025 at Olivette Lanes

Week 7 Alleygations _ Captain Matt Weiss
Terry says Hi!
Let us begin with a HUGE THANK YOU to the Rotary bowling league for the generosity
displayed by their donating the booze and wine for baskets to be raffled at the Rotary Trivia Night
on October 17. Three large baskets were formed to be raffled off on the night and not one bottle
had been previously opened?!? One can always count on Rotarians to come forward when the need
is presented. Amy Lewis, Matthew Maddox, Rosie Cooper and Don Klackner were the committee
chairs for the event which raised over $4000 for The Welfare Fund. Way to go Rotary!
Terry says Hi!
Now onto the lanes. Jean Cowell, the lovely bride of David, was in the house sporting a Blue Jays
baseball cap. Or was that David? This sometimer’s gets in the way sometimes!
Speaking of the Cowbells, led by Schu’s 204 scratch first game, 659 HDCP series bested the
Soifer bunch down on lanes 23 & 24. It appears the Cowbells will be on that pair of lanes next week.
Terry says Hi!
On 20 & 21 the Baker’s, led by Chad himself’s 673 HDCP SERIES squeaked by the Maddox’s
13-9 despite Papa Joey’s 639 HDCP series. These TWO TEAMS get to battle it out again next Monday
Night on Position Night, tied for 3rd & 4th place.
Terry says HI!
Oh, and the Werners, led by Terry’s 213 scratch game took all 22 points from the hapless
Cooper’s. Rosie, you get to join Cowbells on the end lanes next week.
The HOTTEST bowler of the evening belonged to Wade “The Spade” Weistreich who personally
dug a hole in Fast Lanes title aspirations by leading the league with high SCRATCH GAME 222, high
SCRATCH SERIES 581, high HDCP GAME 276, and high HDCP SERIES 743 for the Weiss Guys, bumping
them into an 8 point lead and first place ahead of the Fast Lanes. Same two teams in a rematch for the
1st Quarter honors next Monday Night, Carl only had two bowlers. Surely that won’t happen again???
Terry says HI!
The 50-50 of $74 was won by Doc Jones who nearly lost it by not finding his winning
ticket before a redraw was about to happen.
Hard to believe that the first quarter is ending next Monday?
Pars & Birdies!
Good night Terry!
Matt Weiss
