The 1st night of bowling, finally arrived on Monday, September 8.
I’ve been waiting for 100 plus days for the 107th season of St. Louis Rotary Club bowling to begin! This milestone definitely calls for celebration all season long.

We have eight teams and 2 new bowlers for at least the first half:
Maddie Zuke and David Stuart. A special welcome to our new bowlers! A big wave and glad to see you to all the rest of you!

Yay! Derrick Wendling has returned to bowling in our league! He may roll that ball at 20+ miles a hour. (He had a 218 on the 1st night.)

New Bowler: Maddie Zuke is really sweet and saucy, she’s bowling on Chad Baker’s team along with her dad. But she seems ready to trade or sell or pay another team to take her dad! Good girl Maddie!!!!

All spots on our teams were full; I guess Captain Matt Weiss was enjoying the evening so much that he spilled a beer and Jack Windish cleaned it up by drinking it off the table. Maybe he was slurping it up…. Jack’s a good friend!!!

Look out for Team Maddox… Matthew Maddox has Quinn Rogers (l) and Joey Papa (s) on his team. Both young guys; that’s the long and short of it! Doc Jones you missed it….Joey started all three games with four strikes. Matt Weiss said he got run over by a buzz saw!

Vic DiFate had 157 his second game and bad boy Ralph Decker bowled a 212.

Captain Jon Soifer battled Captain Carl Lane. Captain Jonny shared that the Soifer and Lane games were extremely close but his conspiracy theory caused him to see that perhaps they were losing because they were bowling the owner. Thanks for lending us Derrick Wendling and Bill Piper! but don’t get to thinking that you were losing  due to your generousity!!

Congrats to Jeanine Conway with a 158 and Lily Michaels with a 155.

It’s great to be bowling with you all….it’s already a fun season.
