Alleygations Week 25 ~ Captain Terry Werner ~ March 17, 2025

Week 25 Alleygations ~ March 17, 2025
We are right in the middle of the 4th quarter and the battle for first is
heating up! The Driver and Jones teams are tied at 54 points with the
Westreich team right behind them with 50 points. Team Westreich laid it on the Driver team with a 16-6 win. All of the other matches were fairly close in point totals. It should be an exciting finish to the year.
There were some high individual scores with a 234 from David Cowell, a
214 from Terry Werner and a 199 from Don Lorenz. David had the high
scratch series (592) and high handicap game (248) while Joey Papa had
the high handicap series (667) for the guys.
The ladies were led by Rose Coopers 171 scratch game, a 440 handicap
series and a 233 high handicap game by Rose and Dee Baebler. Dee also
had the high handicap series with a 628 barely edging Rose at 626. Great
bowling ladies!
Things heard around the alleys:
Ken Schuman had cataract surgery recently but still struggled with
seeing the pins apparently. He thought he still had double vision but
those actually were the amount of pins that he left standing.
Bob Schuster said that Bob Zangas could have had a great game but he didn’t. Well said.
Bill Piper won $73 from the 50/50 drawing. Someone (Jack) claimed
that he only won because he jumped in front of Jack to buy his tickets first. The rich just continue to get richer.
Matthew Maddox sat out due to ongoing pain from a recent car
accident. Doug Lorenz was also watching due to recent back surgery. Get better guys and let’s all be careful!
Dee and Drew O’Baebler won the one million dollar prize for the best
dressed couple for St. Patrick’s Day. Well done you two!
There were a lot of sunburnt faces from the guys who attended the
golf trip last week. We were told that what happens in Arizona stays
in Arizona but there is this one story involving a dancer, jello and well nevermind.
Strikes and more strikes,
Terry
