John Berglund is an architect-turned-developer and the co-founder and managing partner of The StarWood Group, specializing in real estate and business acquisitions. He led the $75 million redevelopment of the former Post-Dispatch Building into Block’s Midwest headquarters, establishing the Downtown North Insight District—a strategic hub designed to attract geospatial and fintech companies to St. Louis. Beyond real estate, John continues to work with and support Jim McKelvey, the co-founder and co-inventor of Square Mobile Payments.
