Captain Kayla Jones ~ 106th Season, Week 15 Alleygations | December 16, 2024
ALLEYGATIONS‐ 12/16/2024 ~ Captain Kayla Jones
I can’t believe it’s my time again to write the weekly alleygations! And being in the same position when I first wrote them…first place…I feel honored. It’s like it was meant to be.
In all seriousness, though, it was such a good, fun night and end to Q2 of the 2024-2025 Rotary bowling season. We had a lot of memorable moments. To start, the charcuterie boards were so yummy and a great treat. I am a sucker for some meat and cheese so whoever’s idea that was, you won me over. I visited down to lane 23/24 where cousin Joey Papa was playing. He informed me that he could’ve eaten the whole thing and then some. Impressive, I thought! As I mosied my way back I stopped by lane 20/21 where a pepperoni had been spotted on the actual lane. Also, very impressive! I did not ask how as I was hesitant to know the answer, but if Rose had anything to do it with I am sure it was quite funny. I made my way back to my lane where teammate Ali had informed us she could eat cheese every day for the rest of her life. She then proceeded to order mozzarella sticks and a ham & cheese sandwich for dinner. I hope you’re feeling ok today Ali!
I heard it was a great end to the night for Mr. Vic Difate with a PR of 173! Congrats Vic!!
I also wanted to give a huge shoutout to Mr. Bob Barnes. I believe he ended the night with at least 2 strikes and an amazing score in the third game. You could feel the support and heartfelt moment as we gathered around to watch him finish the 10th frame of the 3rd game. It was truly special.
I just want to say, Bob, if I am even half of the person and bowler you are at your age I will be satisfied. You’re truly an inspiration.
Thank you all for reading this week’s Alleygation and thank you for supporting us as we took over first place again. To team Jones- Call us butter ’cause we are on a roll.
Have a Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year, and see you in 2025!
