106th Season – Week 12

As we approach one of America’s favorite holidays, Thanksgiving, I hope we all have a lot to be thankful for.  My bowling prowess this week, will not be making the list.  The only thing colder than the sudden drop of temperature last night was my game, but fortunately that wasn’t the case for others.  Let’s first discuss the shellacking team Decker (in his absence) delivered to team Weistreich.  Bill Piper bowled an all-time high 406 scratch series (658 handicap) which included an impressive turkey just in time for Thanksgiving. He also scored what he believes is his highest game ever with a 174 scratch (258).  Great job Bill.   Not to be out done, Rose Cooper, decided to do the splits!  She picked up at least two, with one of them being quite tricky.  3, 6, 7 I believe.  But enough about the plucking and stuffing that took place on lanes 23 and 24.  Mike Coleman Tied Lily Michaels to deliver team Weistreich’s only point. 

In other matchups, Team Jones swept team Lane with the help of Ali Griebenow’s impressive 704 series highlighted by a 178 scratch game.  Way to go Ali!  Team Cowell did a great job out scoring team Werner 19 to 3. The Zuke household gave an impressive performance. Ralph had a 671 series night and Quinn rolled an impressive 623 to secure the victory.  Team Driver beat team Baker 14 to 8 with some impressive bowling by Mike Reagan (652), although Matt Maddox (634) and Doug Lorenz (640) also boasted some impressive series scores.

Other notable performance include; Mike Reagan with the highest scratch game of the night with a 197, and Don Lorenz with the highest scratch series with a 528. Great bowling gentlemen.
