106th Bowling Season, Week 4 ~ Captain Wade Weistreich, September 30, 2024
The thunder and fury of Week 4 bowling was palpable. The 8 teams squared off in battle unlike anything the world has ever seen. Much to Rookie Captain Kayla Jones surprise, she and her team began the night in 1st place! Unfortunately, Terry Werner had other ideas, and the evening ended with team Werner matching point totals and taking over 1st place based on total pin count. Mr. Werner also had the high scratch game with a 205, and scratch series of 566. Great job Terry!
Other notable scores include Don Lorenz with a 198 and Mike Coleman with a 197. Mike also topped the handicap game list with a 265 and handicap series with a 704. Other notable handicap scores include Terry Werner with a 241 game and 674 series, Quinn Rogers with a 236 game and Rick Tinucci with a 655 series.
The ladies had some great scores as well with Lauren Kehlenbrink leading the scratch games with a 145, followed by Rose Cooper (142), Lily Michaels (130) and Amy Lewis (128). Rose had the highest scratch series with a 419, followed by Lily Micheals (371), Lauren Kehlenbrink (369) and Amy Lewis (344). Rose, Lily and Amy helped lead Team Decker to a 12-10 victory over my team… I believe they my have been using performance enhancing whiskey, but the officials refused to test them.
Even though Chad Baker showed up wearing a Teenage Mutant Ninja costume (I should mention that it was for a good cause, so I felt a little ashamed for making fun of him), the ninja power credit goes to his teammates who lead his team to a 20 point night! It’s worth mentioning that Chad also won the 50/50 but didn’t have the decency to get pizza for everyone. Ninja fail!
Overall, a great night at the lanes as always with lots of laughs, and wonderful comradery.
Laissez les bons temps rouler,
Wade
