106th Bowling Season, Week 2 ~ Captain Terry Werner, September 16, 2024
ALLEYGATIONS September 16, 2024 Week Two
Week 2 of this season got started with a renewed enthusiasm. We have 8 full teams, some new captains and several new bowlers this year. Kayla Jones has created a brand new team with Rachel Callier, Ali Griebenow and Lauren Kehlenbrink. Tom Carroll is a new bowler on Wade Westreich’s team, Quinn Rogers is new to David Cowell’s team and Marina Larson is new to Chad Baker’s team. Beth Russsell has returned after a few years and is on David Cowell’s team. Welcome to all and thanks for participating! You have reduced the average age and make us a better looking team overall! I will let you figure out who contributes to the age and better looking category!
Deckers team won all 22 points from the Baker team. Ouch! The Jones team took 18 points from Cowells team to take temporary possession of first place from the Werner team. Lanes team won 20 points against the Westreich team while the Driver team won 14-8 over the second place Werner team.
There was only one 200 scratch game with a 211 from Don “the Owner” Klackner. Hmmm? Other notable high handicap games were Mike Coleman 246, Don Klackner 244, Mike Regan 242 and Quinn Rogers 240! Great bowling guys!
On the ladies side, Lily Michaels had a 158 scratch and 235 handicap game, Beth Russell with a 154 scratch and 230 handicap game, Rose Cooper with a 151 scratch and 222 handicap game. Great bowling ladies!
Things heard or seen around the alley……..
- Chad Baker’s psychedelic bowling shirt was “in the gutter” loud.
- Robert Driver barely missed a pin and said that he needed “just one more inch”.
- Doc Jones providing hands on instructions to Kayla’s team during the third frame of the first game. What took you so long Doc?
- Amy Lewis was absent because her daughter Isabella was having her gall bladder removed. Prayers that all went well.
- Ralph Decker won $63 with the 50/50 drawing.
See all of you next week!
