Diane is the author of “The Second Chance,” a fictional novel published June, 2022. Her hope in writing this novel is to challenge readers’ perspectives on some of the most controversial yet critically important issues of our times–climate change, reproductive rights, and bioethics. The decisions we make now, individually and as a community, will impact our children’s and grandchildren’s futures as well as those who follow. “The Second Chance” was selected for the 2022 St. Louis Jewish Book Festival. Diane leads book club discussions and is a public speaker on climate change topics. Diane is also the founder and leader of a Climate Change special interest group.
Diane J. Bleyer was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, she is a wife, mother of three, and a tennis fanatic. She also enjoys volunteering in her community, building doll houses, and playing Maj Jongg.
Diane was captivated by the Little House on the Prairie series by Laura Ingalls Wilder as a child and has wanted to be a writer ever since. The dream was delayed for a time while she took a decidedly more practical route and earned a BBA in finance and management at Emory University. While working as a consultant for Andersen Consulting and Ernst and Young, Diane acquired strategic planning and out-of-the-box thinking skills which she has woven through her futuristic novel, The Second Chance.
