I am doing a “Beyond the Postcard” tour called “Defining the American Dream” to iconic sites on the east coast in September with a national expert (and me!) leading us at each of the legendary locations as listed here: RaffisRegulars.com
In order to raise $20,000 for the Rotary Welfare Fund, I am giving away 2 free seats on my tour via the “American Dream raffle” announced in our club meeting: 1 seat to the purchaser (contestant) and 1 seat to the Rotarian (sponsor).
Contestant and sponsor may be the same person (so would get both seats)
Seat is transferable at no charge
The more raffle tickets a Rotarian sells, the more entries they end up having in the raffle (incentive)
100% of all raffle money (not just proceeds) goes to the Rotary Welfare Fund: checks should be made out to the Rotary Welfare Fund and submitted along with tickets to Joan at each club meeting until the May 16 drawing.
Cost details:
Raffle entry is $100 per ticket.
Tour value is $4,400 per person/winner (price as listed at link for non-Rotarian purchasers of my tour)
Goal is 200 tickets for $20,000 to Rotary Welfare Fund, thus leveraging the cost of donating my 2 seats toward a larger dollar amount donated to Rotary.
Winner gets everything a regular full-price customer gets as listed at tour link above: entire week of hotels, admission fees, tours, transportation (once they arrive at BWI airport), and breakfasts all included.
