Week 30 Alleygations: April 15, 2024
Week 30 Alleygations | Captain Bill Piper
ALLEYGATIONS FOR APRIL 15, 2024
This is a much more pleasant report than I would have done the last time Team 5 was liable for this duty. We would have been mired in last place already. I was so bummed out, my writing was blocked.
Fortunately, Team 5 can report a solid second half, finishing second for the fourth quarter to the juggernaut known as Team Zuke. In fact, we split the match points for the night with said Team 8. We didn’t break them up, but we did stop ‘em, largely due to some fine rolling by Ralph Decker in the cleanup spot, including the high scratch game for the evening – a 235.
However, the top score over average for a game was by Vic DiFate with a +50 in one of his games. Lily Michaels was not far behind, with a +38 for her top game and +78 for top series for the women’s side, barely trailing Jack Windish for top series overall. “Window” cranked out a +80.
Despite my plea to the various captains, I have no major events, incredible split conversions or wacko strikes to report. I will confess to my annual full front layout in the final game (this year on Lane 17) which scored a 9, which I was able to mark from. Other than that, you had to be there.
