Week 22 Alleygations | Captain Matt Weiss

KUDOS to Rotarians Matthew Maddox, Robert Driver, & Don Klackner.

For Matthew Maddox organizing the Super Bowl Squares Board raising $1,000 for the Welfare Fund,
For Robert Driver, winner of the Super Bowl Squares Board, for picking
up some buckets of cold ones with his winnings at Rotary Bowling on Monday,
the 12th. True Rotarian spirit. MY pockets were a bit heavier.
For Don Klackner hosting the Rolling For Rotary and Matthew Maddox
aiding Don in organizing the participants and Silent Auction items. The event
raised $4700 for the Welfare Fund. Fifteen Rotarians sponsored Lanes ten
more donated the Silent Auction Items.
Many Thanks to them and to all the Participants.

Onto the bowling, wrote before League Secretary statistics were published.
Position Night came down to a two horse race between the Weiss Guys and
The Zuke’s. Having a 10 point lead, the Zuke’s just need to keep their runaway
train a running. The Weiss Guys weren’t bad, the Zuke Young In’s were just a
lot better pounding out 18 points and the Third Quarter Championship. The
Zuke’s now have the 2nd & 3rd quarter’s.
The night reminded me of a couple old country songs to share.
On losing Position night……”Hurt”by Johnny Cash
I hurt myself today
To see if I still Feel
I focus on the Pain
The only thing that’s real
In reference to my bowling ball…..”How do I live” by LeAnne Rimes
How do I get through the one night without you
If I had to live without you
What kinda life would that be
Oh I, I need you in my arms, need you to hold
You’re my world, my heart, my soul.
Yeah, a bit cheesy.
But Life could be a whole lot worse……You Never Even Called Me by my Name,
By David Alan Coe
Well, I was drunk the day my mother got out of prison
And I went to pick her up in the rain
But before I could get to the station in my pick up truck
She got run over by a damned old train
Thank goodness Rotary I only have ONE Alleygations left this year.
Chad Baker won the 50/50 of $65 AND, Matthew Maddox had sign up
sheets on the table for the Columbia Bowling Trip on April 16th. Please let
Matthew know if interested. I believe he said he had 20 signed on already.
Strikes and Spares,
Matt Weiss
