105th Season of St. Louis Rotary Bowling League

wk 8 bowling alleygations by Ralph Zuke

Week 8  Alleygations 10-30-23

This is my first Alleygations folks, so go easy on me. I promise it will get better.

Hard to believe rhis is the end of the first quarter of the bowling season. Time sure flies when you are having fun.

May I have the envelope please. The winner of the first quarter is…… team Michaels with 113 points. It was a close race with team Werner (111 points). Team Michaels’ 14-8 win over team Werner in week 8 gave them the top spot.

On the other end of the spectrum was the race for last place. Even though Ken Schuman hit a 4-10 split on the first frame of the first game, team Piper snatched defeat from the jaws of victory to ancher the final spot in the standings.

Another highlight (or lowlight depending on your perspective), Ralph Zuke won the 50/50 drawing for the 3rd week in a row. Way to go Ralph, you certainly know how to pick em.

Once again congratulations to team Michaels. To the rest of us, week 9 starts a new race for first place. We are all like Cubs fans on opening day saying, “We can do this. We can take first place.”
…And just like Cubs fans we will most likely have our souls crushed but, WE will all have fun along the way.
