Bowling Alleygations | Week 2 ~ September 19, 2022

We saw some team movement in the league standings for week 2. Pete Milne and his team are now in first place with 34 points. The Italian Stallion, Rick Tinucci rolled a 199 in the first game for Team Milne against Doug Lorenz and his team. Welcome back Chris Wilson, Gary “Doc” Jones, and Lily Michaels for another season. Amy Lewis was seen smiling and having a good time on the lanes! Amy, you rock! We appreciate your commitment to bowl this season!

Team Conway led by Dan Conway moved up into 3rd place with a 20 point victory over Team Werner. Captain Dan Conway was concerned at first, because they only had three bowlers up against Team Werner’s four bowlers.

Captain Terry Werner was not able to bowl with his team. He was with his daughter Kelly, expecting any minute to deliver a new grandchild for Terry. Terry has been the emotional rock for his family these past few weeks with the passing of his mother, Sylvesta Werner, and now his daughter Kelly delivering a new child into the Werner family. Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers, and joy for the cycle of life are with The Werner Family.

Dee Baebler, a new bowler, has so much enthusiasm for the St. Louis Rotary Club Bowling League. Guess what Dee did? She convinced her husband, Drew Baebler, to join the bowling league. Drew is impressed with the history of our league and the camaraderie we enjoy. Welcome Drew! We appreciate your commitment to join our league.

With only three bowlers, Team Weiss, won all three games, plus total, and picked up 17 points against Team Soifer. Bowling for Team Soifer, Lily Michaels had a high game of 141. Her sister, Rose Cooper, had a high game of 131. Watch out for those two sisters!

The Weiss team-had only three bowlers for the night. With Mike Regan, Derrick Wendling, and Don Klackner, they bowled a 814, 821, 836 for a 2471 High Team Series and won 17 points.

Did you know that Don Klackner is a HUGE Green Bay Packer fan? Don was in Tampa Bay, Florida this weekend visiting his daughter, and new grandchild. He also took his daughter to the Green Bay Packer vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers game on Sunday, September 25th. Aaron Rogers against Tom Brady! Packers won 14-12. Congratulations, Grandfather Don.

Yours truly!
