14 Club 11 hackers gathered at historic Algonquin Golf Club on August 3rd, hosted by our very own Flip Cady. Thanks Flip!

It was a textbook St. Louis summer day, with a temperature of 94° and humidity of 85% resulting in a heat index of 179°. Thankfully the conditions cooled down after a massive storm front move through, halting play after nine holes.

Even though no points were awarded due to the truncated round, individual and team prizes were handed out to the following:

Championship flight winners: 1st: Flip Cady 2nd: Blake Critzas 3rd: Jim Bernardini
The team of Cady/LaFara/McNutt took 1st place in the Team event with a score of 64. Second was Critzas/Conner/Wendling with a 68. Right on their heels were Weistreich/Kalde/Jones at 69.

A fine Algonquin meal followed the event. Special thanks go out to Flip Cady for providing us with several bottles of wine from his private cellar!

Our next outing will be at Forest Hills on August 17th. There are no thunderstorms in the forecast for this event.
