It is with deep sadness that I write to tell you of the passing of former member Ned Lips Jr. Ned passed away last Friday at the age of 85.
Ned Joined Club 11 in 1964 first as an additional active to his father Ned Lips Sr, and then with the Classification of Insurance – General Agent. He served as President then Chairmen of Charles L Crane Company. Ned was instrumental in bringing Skyway Farm to Club 11 in the late 80’s and served on the Skyway board chairing several successful auctions raising over $200,000 in support of the farm. After his retirement from the Crane Agency, Ned resigned from Rotary spending time at his farm. I have many found memories of Ned and his effort supporting many Rotary programs.
Even though he has been away from the Club for many years, I thought the Club would want to know of his passing. Here is information on visitation.
