Bowling Alleygations   Week 20

Once again we had a full house at Olivette lanes on Monday night! It seems that there are always certain teams and individual bowlers that stand out and this week was no exception. The DiFate team took a commanding lead for first place with a 16-4 shellacking of the second place Linton team. The Barnes team is a close third only 2 points behind.

On an individual basis, our president, Ralph Decker bowled a 256 game and a 678 scratch series. Way to go Ralph!

Derrick Wendling bowled a solid 244 game, Gary Jones a 214 game and Don Klackner, aka “the owner”, a 202 game. keep it up guys!

Things rarely seen at Olivette on a monday night:

– Matthew Maddox giving advice to Gary Jones

– Carl Lane winning the 50/50 for the first time in 5 years

-Klackner’s “magic” control button not working well enough as he fell to Werner by 1 pin

It was good to have Doug “Ho” Lorenz back from Hawaii after six weeks.

The battle for the hardest thrown ball was won by Richard Warriner at 20.2 mph edging out Derrick at 19.6 mph. Clearly Derrick was holding back this week!

Remember that:

Bowling is fun in your spare time!

Bowling is right up your alley!

And split happens!
